tools we use during investigations

hand held recording device

"Electronic Voice Phenomenon (EVP) and Disembodied Voices usually occur at a frequency lower than normal human ears can detect, this is where the sensitive EVP recorder comes in. This amazing little compact, lightweight, sturdy, easy to hold recorder is great for capturing EVP's. Excellent for interacting with ghosts and spirits when asking questions on a ghost hunt. You will need the room or area to be quiet, then you ask your question and leave some time for the spirits to respond. This is not a spirit box thats sweeps through radio stations thats a different piece of equipment, this is a digital audio recorder..

The concept of using a mechanical or electronic device to communicate with the paranormal dates all the way back to Thomas Edison. When asked if his inventions could help to speak with the dead, his response was that he thought a sensitive recording device would do a better job than a Ouija board. Later, a Latvian psychologist named Konstantin Raudive became somewhat obsessed with EVP, and made over 100,000 recordings in an RF-shielded lab. His work was very interesting, but not quite what we today incorporate into paranormal investigations. He had a very controlled environment, and of course his equipment was older than what we use today.

K-II ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD (EMF) DETECTOR

Ghosts and entities pick up on the EMF, they use it to communicate with us, to show themselves. So, if anything does appear in the room, these lights will go berserk and flicker on and off. Sometimes three might come on, five might go on. Again, remember to debunk anything that in the day you picked up where there was an EMF signal. Often when an entity becomes visible, or wherever it appears, the temperature also tends to go down, and the electromagnetic field readings tend to go up. There are a couple of ways in which to use both meters. You can walk around using them handheld or you can set them up with a camera pointed at them to capture the evidence.

The K2 meter is an electromagnetic field (EMF) meter that measures electrical activity and currents. They tend to come with LED lights that display the level of electrical current. On the scale from green (low EMF) to red (high EMF).

REMPOD/REMBEAR

Also called "The REM-Pod, or radiating electromagnetism pod, gets its name from its point of difference to other ghost hunting tools, it radiates its own electromagnetic field. Traditional electromagnetic flux meters used in the paranormal field are tuned to detect the fieldsproduced by flowing currents of electricity or the radio frequencies emitted from broadcasting devices. Because the REM-Pod radiates its own EM field it can detect much more, which in theory makes it easier for spirits to use the device to communicate.

During live or pre recorded investigations you will commenly see them light up in responce to questions asked or u may hear a audiable beeping sound

Full Spectrum Action Camera

The human eye can only see a small portion of the light spectrum. Humans can't see infrared or the ultraviolet range. And the majority of the ghost apparitions appear in one of these two spectrums. A standard camera can see the same as people can. Because they have filters blocking UV and IR. In order to see the entire light spectrum, you will need a modified camera which has the filters removed. And you will need a full spectrum light to accompany it. Using this you will catch so much more visual evidence. Why does full spectrum have a purple tint or hue? This is due to the camera being able to see ultraviolet. This is the primary spectrum given off by the sun, which gives us a sun tan. It's a very strong and overpowering form of light, which does have a purple looking colour when captured by a FS camera. Humans can't see this spectrum of light with the naked eye. But if it was possible, everything would have a purple tint during the day time when the sun is out. If you want to film in FS, there is no avoiding this unfortunately. We was shocked when first using full spectrum, as to so much more you can catch. We have captured mists which have been moving and changing shape on many occasions. Often indoors in haunted locations with no rational explanation.

Spirit Box

While it is indeed a radio, it has a slight modification that enables it to rapidly scan multiple stations at once. Non-stop, as opposed to standard radios that play a single station at once. For instance, during a car trip, you pick a particular station or frequency. And you listen to it for however long you want to. In contrast, with a ghost scanner radio, the aim is for it to scan all the stations repeatedly. Scanning (both AM and FM) without stopping at a specific frequency. Since ghosts and spirits tend to communicate on different radio frequencies and find that convenient. Therefore, it doesn't stop upon finding a channel as would a regular radio. Essentially, a ghost box picks up on that paranormal activity while scanning the stations. It detects noises, audio, voices and will only pause (not stop) on a given station to capture incoming messages. Mainly in the form of whole phrases or sentences.

It's believed that spirit can communicate with people using the white noise. Which is why paranormal investigators and hunters of ghosts one among their hunting equipment and devices.

Ouija Board

Ouija boards are tools designed to communicate with ghosts. They are also known as Spirit Boards and are commonly used for entertainment. Paranormal experts, as well as those trying to speak with a lost relative, will at some point use an Ouija board to get the answers they seek. A spirit board is usually a flat rectangular panel. It will have the numbers 0-9, letters of the alphabet, yes/ no, hello/ goodbye, and other symbols displayed on it. A small heart-shaped piece known as the planchette will be used to spell out the messages. Those participating will lightly place their finger on the planchette, and it will then move around the board to spell out any messages.

As a group we do not use these but groups we investigate with may invite us to use on location so you may see these in use on our lives but we recommend you dont try to use unless you know what your doing.
